3 Card Poker Glossary
We have outline all the terms associated with 3 Card Poker or Tri-Card Poker as its also known.
Ante: This is the first bet you make and once you have made the bet you will receive your cards. The Ante on most tables are a circle or diamond.
Bluff: Means you stay on your hand instead of folding.
Brit Brag/ Casino Brag: A slightly different game of 3 Card Poker where the dealer would need a Ace-Queen to qualify.
Fold: To end the hand
House Edge: It is usually shown as a percentage, it is the advantage the casino has over a player.
Pairs + / Pairs Plus: Is a separate bet in which the player will receive extra bonus and odds of they hit a pair or better.
Play: Is like the raise bet in which after getting dealt the cards the player chooses to continue or fold.
Tri-Card Poker: This is another name for 3 Card Poker. Mainly used for U.S players.
Qualify: In 3 Card Poker it is the minimum hand the dealer must have to continue to play and receive the bonus odds.
Vig/Vigorish: The casino takes a percentage from the game, this in Texas Hold’em is equal to a rake.
